The EP1692 Discrete-Mode Series laser diode has been designed with for detection of hydrocarbon compounds, mainly in the 1680nm – 1690nm range, such as propane and butane.

Excellent tunability and telecoms-grade laser lifetime makes this laser suitable for many specialised applications in harsh environments.
